It is literally a dictionary of fly patterns, listing an impress+ patterns with materials and some of them with notes on origin and tying/5.
I know of a few dressings for this pattern but the one I tie and personally use comes from Perrault's Standard Dictionary of Flies. Maynard Marvel Not to be confused with the Golden Marvel which is the more popular version using all Golden Pheasant crests for the tail and wing.
